If a liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
If a liberal is down-and-out, he wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn’t like a talk show host, he switches channels.
If a liberal doesn’t like a talk show host, he demands that all of them be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn’t go to church.
If a liberal is a non-believer, he wants any mention of God and religion silenced.

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it or may choose a job that provides it.
If a liberal decides he he needs health care, he demands that the rest of us pay for his.

If a conservative reads this, he will show it so his friends and share the bookmark to this website so they can have a good laugh.
If a liberal reads this, he will delete the bookmark to this website because he’s “offended”.

Saw this line in a comment on a tech blog:

By the time most currently existing Windows computers have finished loading the security software, paging is already beating on the [hard] drive like Gallagher on a watermelon.

I know it’s pretty geeky, but it’s also funny (and true!). The entire blog post and its comments can be read by clicking here. The article is about how nearly all typical computer users would do better with Linux than with Windows – and I’d have to agree.

Happy Anniversary, Doug and Susan!

It finished about an hour ago. It hailed here. It did hail earlier, but they were tiny little things only about a quarter inch in diameter (about the size of ice cream sprinkles). But about an hour ago, they were the biggest hail stones we’ve had in quite a few years. Some of these were three quarters of an inch in diameter (bigger than a peanut M&M). Here’s a few photos:

It sounded like somebody was hitting the side of the house while these were coming down!
