Merry Christmas to you and yours.
And there were in the same country shepherds, abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them! And they were sore afraid … And the angel said unto them, “Fear not! For, behold, I bring you tidings o great joy, which shall be to all my people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ, the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you: Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.” And suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of the Heavenly Host praising God, and saying, “Glory to God in the Highest, and on Earth peace, and good will toward men.”

As Cookie Monster used to say! I’ve just added my favorite cookie recipe to my list of recipes. It’s called Monster Cookies. No, they aren’t called Monster Cookies because they make such big cookies – of course, you CAN make oversized cookies from the recipe. They are called Monster Cookies because such a ginormous batch is made. Really. The recipe makes around 16 dozen cookies – most cookie recipes make 4-6 dozen. I made them for a cookie exchange at work. I’ll be taking in 5 dozen Monster Cookies and coming back with five 1 dozen cookie batches.
But that leaves A LOT of cookies to snack on during the holiday season!
Happy Birthday, Carrie!

And I’ve got it installed now. WordPress 2.7! While there isn’t any change yet on the site, the back end is COMPLETELY different. I like the change; now I have to learn where everything is and then I need to update my themes to allow for the new features in this version. Seems my calendar program will take a back seat again…
I was kind of hesitant to change themes right now as the WordPress 2.7 update is coming soon (Release Candidate 2 was just issued today). It has a bunch of new functionality that I’ll have to add in to my themes, which is why I’m kind of hesitant to change themes. However, with winter upon us here (we had snow yesterday, AFTER the rain and ice) it was definitely time to change.
Once 2.7 comes out, I’ll be working to make my themes compatible with it while maintaining backward compatibility. I suppose I could start that any time as there are articles out there about the major changes in 2.7… anyway, enjoy one of my most-downloaded themes: Iowa Winter 2.
Happy Birthday, Al!
