Election Season

Many who know me will attest that I am a conservative; not a Repulbican, but a conservative. That being said, I’m not really happy with either candidate. Both tend to be a bit too much for government getting in the way of private business. Both tend to want to take away way too much of my hard-earned money and spend it on programs that I don’t necessarily agree with. That being said, I believe that John McCain is the candidate to back. At least he has a voting record of cutting at least SOME spending – Barack Obama has yet to vote against spending increases. I will be featuring a few reprints of articles from various reputable sources (and citing those sources unlike Joe Biden has done many times in his life) in the next few days to back my point of view and at least TRY to convince others to vote this way.

Before anyone starts yelling “racist” (which the Obama camp seems quite proficient at doing) let me state that I don’t care WHAT color any candidate is. What I care about is how are they going to spend the tax money that they have taken from my hard-earned dollars. What I care about is keeping my Constitutional rights – ALL of them, not just some of them that groups of people deem fit for all. What I care about is keeping my freedom and not turning it over even a part of that control to other countries. What I care about is making government smaller – it’s too big now and needs to be cut with an ax, a chain saw, and any other tool that cuts (once that’s done we can get out the scalpel as well as the butcher knife, the paring knife and the scaling knife). What I care about is how I perceive my country, not how other countries perceive it.
