Happy Birthday, Roberta!
Which translates to “time flies”. And it really has lately. I’ve been so busy at work that when I get home I just want to crash. I come home and do my mindless games (Actually, it’s PC WholeWare’s version of Spider Solitaire), catch up on my personal email and do a little browsing and I’m done – stick a fork in me. I used to do a bit of my email during lunch at work, but since we’ve changed our corporate proxy server it disallows ANY web-based email. So now my lunches that I don’t go “out with the guys” are spent going to My Element to listen to the radio.
I’m closing in on one of my professional goals at work for this year – I’ve already completed two others. The three were huge goals with many multiple steps in them. The second goal took the better part of three months to complete; it was a documentation project. My last goal is to pass Microsoft Test 70-290 and get my MCP certificate. It is one that is starting to consume a lot of the “spare time” I have at work.
Now that I’ve made my excuses for not posting for a few days, I’ll let you in on my personal plans for the next few weeks. I plan on taking all of my old themes that I’ve developed and translating them to work under the newest WordPress along with making them widget-aware. I’ve already done that with my two autumn themes and one of my winter themes. I have one basketball-based theme which I will translate. I also plan on creating other themes for other sports and all four seasons. The themes only take a few days to develop, unlike the plugins that I had been working on. It took over a month for me to complete the CDay for WP plugin.
So there you have it. Along with the upcoming holiday season, I hope to keep posting but I’m going to put more in to theme development.
