So Thursday, after my last post, we went to my brother’s for Thanksgiving. Turkey, cheesey potatoes, green bean casserole, creamed corn, veggie tray, crackers and meat tray, jello and fruit salad were served (and eaten with reckless abandon!). Oh, yeah! We also had pumpkin pie and apple pie! Yeah, boy!
Friday KC and Breezomatic braved the crowds and went out to get some “early bird” sales at the local stores. We now have some presents to wrap for Christmas. When they got home, we got Breezomatic all packed up and ready to return to school; well, she had to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We stopped at Coral Ridge Mall to do a bit more shopping and eat some lunch. Then Breezomatic went home and KC and I went on to Des Moines. There we stayed with her brother, Eric.
We met up with ZDog and J; J and I ordered her parts for a new computer. The parts are going to be delivered to her parent’s house (the only valid delivery point on her credit card) and we will assemble it over Christmas break. We then went out for supper and then went on to Eric’s place and watched Elf (kind of cute).
Saturday, we did a lot of cooking, cleaning and rearranging of furniture and helped Eric and his friend Brenda host Thanksgiving for KC’s family. We had a full house: KC and I; ZDog and J; Eric and Brenda; Helen; Jane and Sarah; Randy, Julie, AJ, Michaela, and Carleton; Doug, Susan, Katie, Katie’s friend (don’t remember his name) and Nate; TC, Jena, Jalen and Tyler. It was quite a crew! We had a lot of fun just visiting and catching up with everyone. Not to mention all the food: turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, cranberries, jello, fruit salad. I can’t forget the pies: apple pie (with ice cream), pumpkin pie and pecan pie. Again, I ate with reckless abandon.
Well, now it’s time to start the diet after stuffing myself for the Thanksgiving holiday!
